Sylhet green tea garden is the famous place also with its tea. Tea is a sweet-smelling drink commonly prepared by pouring hot or boiling water over cured leaves of the Camellia sinensis, an evergreen plant. By 1947, Bangladesh owned 103 tea estates, covering 26,734 hectares of tea plantation with an annual large production. After a rapid increase of home consumption of tea, the government imposed a percent mandatory extension of tea area per year. The tea industry suffered significant damages during the war.But now it is producing huge tea and also export in the foreign country and earning revenue.So green tea gardens in Sylhet is full of resources.

Both the Surma and the Kushiara river from the Sylhet valley are beautiful. A good number of haors has in the valley. These haors are vast stretches of green land, but they turn into turbulent seas at the time of rainy season though the main attraction is green tea gardens in Sylhet.

Shrine of Hajrat Shah Paran (R) is eight km far from Sylhet town on the Sylhet-Jaflong road were also thousands of visitors visit this Shrine every day. Road journey to Sylhet is a wonderful experience through roads running ups and down the hills and green lush tea gardens of nature at its best.
